For expert musicians; good counterpoint is as vital as any other important aspects of music. It is one of the most rewarding as well as rich textures related to music. Any good counterpoint is not only beautiful but is also interesting as well as intellectually stimulating.

Top Musicians

Endorsed by Great Composers
Most of the great composers in music from Bach to Mozart, Beethoven to Stravinsky, and Williams, Debussy or Goldsmith, had all unquestionable mastery over selection of perfect counterpoints in music.

Essence of Counterpoint in Music

True essence of counterpoint for musicians is that it depicts the relationship between voices that have independent contour or rhythm and are also interdependent harmonically. In fact, counterpoint is a common feature of all classical music that developed during the Renaissance as well as during the common practice of music period in Baroque music.

General Aspects of Counterpoint

General aspects of counterpoints involve-
• Writing musical lines that are different while moving independently.
• They sound harmonious when they are played simultaneously.
• Harmonic vertical features in music assume a secondary role when textural elements are dominated by counterpoints.
• Focus of counterpoint is always on the melodic interaction.

Polyphonic Whole

Multiple different musical notes produced by the musicians combined together forming the polyphonic whole can create an exotic experience for the listeners. The way such objective is accomplished is use of counterpoint.

In a way harmony and counterpoint are complementary to each other. One cannot be created without the help of the other.

Everyone wants to be a superstar musician. From the outside it seems to be the perfect life. However, just because it looks like fun and fame, there is a lot of work that goes into being a quality musician. You have to take time to learn and perfect your own special technique and if you want to include being a vocalist, then that will be another skillset that has be to practiced.

Selecting an Instrument

The core of being a musician is that you must be able to play and instrument. Some musicians are known to have mastered several instruments. However, you need to begin with mastering one instrument. When you concentrate your efforts on this instrument, it can help shape other elements of being a musician like song writing.

Music Theory

Research the history of music and your favorite musicians. Educate yourself about the technical aspect of music like chords, notation and different genres like Rhythm and Blues, Rock and Jazz. Classical music is another option.

Practice

Find some colleagues to practice your craft with. The support always helps. Having another ear can help you polish your sound and help implement ideas that maybe you never considered. Taking advantage of people around you is a great benefit to any musician.

Imitation is the Best Flattery

Find some songs from a musician you really love. Imitate this sound and style to help get you into musician shape. Imitation is the best form of flattery, but you want to always bring your own unique element to the songs you are practicing with.

Hip-hop has a new wunderkind, and he – like many before him – has a mononym. With his recent string of releases and successes, it seems that music biz newcomer Drake can do no wrong. Here’s a roundup of all the things he’s been doing right lately.

Sticking to His Release Date Guns

The Toronto-based actor turned rapper had the release date for his studio debut album Thank Me Later set for June 15 as early as April this year (it was completed in November last year). Record label execs, however, wanted him to change the date when copies of the album were leaked on the Internet.

Drake, however, stuck to Plan A. “Let’s give them those two weeks to ride around to it and talk to their friends about it,” he said in an interview. The tactic didn’t hurt sales, and people were still making beelines to Best Buys and Wal-Marts when the record dropped.

Thank Me Later Drops Now

Against all the doom and gloom predicted by the label, Thank Me Later was released to the market very well. Like most artists, he showed up at a retail outlet – in this case, a Manhattan Best Buy branch – to meet and greet album buyers.

Fans had been camped out at said store since 2 PM on June 14 – the previous day – just to get a signed copy of the album. More than 600 people were reportedly there to get their copies of Thank Me Later signed by the up-and-comer.

A scheduled free performance for the release of the album was scheduled for later that day, but the NYPD had shut it down before Drake had even taken the stage. Fans and audience members had reportedly become so rowdy that the cops were afraid the area would get “hostile and unsafe.” This didn’t stop fans from reappearing at Manhattan nightlife hotspot Amnesia for a release party sponsored by radio station Hot 97. Seo India

The music world accepts the core fact that the blues and lyrics go hand in hand. Well, if the blue exists without the words, it will be a new phenomenon in the world of music. It will create the best instrumental song with the backdrop of the musical landscape.

The juke by little walker holds a great significance. The real name of this person is Marion Walter Jacobs. He is very famous and highly respected blues singer, guitarist and a harmonica player. In fact he is the only player that has been induced into the rock and roll hall of fame for his credibility in the area of harmonium melodies. He was inducted in the year 2008. His big contribution is that he changed the views of the people about harmonica and what it can offer. Definitely, the juke composed by him, is the great instrumental music song.

The second place in the instrumental category can be attributed to song hide away by Freddie king. He is generally known as a Texas canon ball. He is a great guitarist and he has devised new tunes and the style is based on the influences of Texas and Chicago. He has made these tunes over a career span of not less than 20 years. This great instrumental musician died at a young age of 42 following a cardiac arrest.

The third spot in the instrumental category goes to albatross. This is composed by Fleetwood Mac and peter green. Seo India
